Rebecca Roanhorse has moulded Poe into a leader who fully understands that his actions have consequences. He is learning how to become leader whilst also learning to listen and admit when he has made a mistake. Poe is the main character in the story, seeing how he is recovering after his mutiny during the events of The Last Jedi. The character development throughout is really strong, with Leia and Poe Dameron the two standouts. Resistance Reborn sees the Resistance looking for a new base to hole up after Crait.
